ChatLesson 2 of 86 minutes

Get your first useful answer.

Start with a short message. Give it the facts, read the reply, and make one specific improvement.

You have a short update you could use after checking its details.

1

Open a new Chat

Select ChatGPT, then Chat. Click in the message box, also called the composer. You will paste a fictional practice brief, so no work files or connected accounts are needed.

2

Give it a job and the facts

Copy the example below. Notice that it says what to write, who it is for, and what happened. Those details are more useful than a complicated persona or a long list of prompting tricks.

3

Read it against your notes

Did it keep the meeting on Tuesday? Did it invent a venue or a deadline? If a detail is absent from the brief, it should remain absent or be flagged as a question.

4

Continue in the same conversation

Ask: Make it warmer and cut it to 60 words. Keep the dates and decisions unchanged. Compare the revision. A targeted follow-up gives you something specific to judge.

Try this in the app
Write an 80-word update for a volunteer team. Facts: our workshop is on Tuesday at 10 AM; 12 people have registered; the venue is still unconfirmed; Rania is checking it. Use a friendly tone, then list the next action. Do not invent missing details.
